Bi-Directional Amplifiers
Make one amplifier do double duty.
Oleg RU3GM has been the source of a number of interesting circuits over the years. This is one of his more interesting ideas, but one that is not seen frequently in ham radio applications.
The emitter resistor based impedance side of things seems to be a bit low for some designers, but this could be changed with toroidal transformers, as could the collector side impedances.
The DC steering diodes could be almost anything. !N4148 devices would be adequate because a single transistor stage is not going to draw enough current to stress them. If this idea is used for power transistor circuits then the steering diodes might have to be 1N400x types in order to handle larger current loads.
