Homebrew Cable Ends
Make High Current Cable Terminations From Brass Tubing
Inexpensive crimp or solder type cable terminations can be made from soft brass tubing. Hammer one end flat, drill a bolt hole, and trim to length. These will handle a lot of current. Be sure to securely solder your wires into the tubing or crimp them tightly with a homemade crimping tool.
For terminating coaxial cable you can make a saw cut half way through the tube before you hammer it flat and thus leave a hole for the center conductor to stick through. With these brass terminal ends on the shield and a smaller crimp-on terminal lug on the center conductor you have an effective coaxial termination system.
