Constellations are groups of stars that make a pattern.
It is like join the dots to form an imaginary shape like
Leo the lion, the Great Bear or even a cross.
The Southern Cross is a small, but beautiful constellation, that we easily see in Australia. It is very close to the constellation Centaurus.
The Southern Cross is used on the Australian Flag. It represents our geographical location in the Southern Hemisphere.

Is Earth part of the Milky Way Galaxy?
Yes, Earth is in a galaxy called the Milky Way. The Milky Way is huge. It is made up of billions and billions of stars.
Next time when you travel out of the city, look up at the sky on a clear night. You should be able to see the Milky Way Galaxy.

An Astronaut is someone who travels and works in space.
Astronauts learn about what is beyond our planet, Earth.
Astronauts are usually scientists. They may be a pilot or a mission specialist. The mission specialist regularly checks the spacecraft and does experiments.
The International Space Station, ISS, orbits the Earth.
Imagine you are an Astronaut. 👩🏼🚀
On one of your Moon walks you discovered something amazing!
Draw a picture of what you discovered on the Moon. You might like to include part of the Moon in your drawing.
Tell an adult a sentence or two about your amazing discovery and ask them to write it at the bottom of your picture.
Send Mrs Ishak a photo of your drawing. Be creative!
