Lesson: Practise Being Godly
John 1:1 Jesus is the Word
John 1:1-5, 14
"Before the world began, there was the Word. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things were made through him. Nothing was made without him. In him there was life. That life was light for the people of the world. The Light shines in the darkness. And the darkness has not overpowered the Light."
John 1:14
"The Word became a man and lived among us. We saw his glory - the glory that belongs to the only Son of the Father. The Word was full of grace and truth."
Key Themes:

How many earths could fit inside the sun?
Note to parents:
Disclaimer - there is a part of this video that we skip over at prep. The section is 1:05 -1:08 mins when he talks about how old he is..., otherwise the rest of the clip is great.
I advise that you listen to the video first and use your discretion as to whether or not your child watches this clip.
Week 3
Print the Sun template or use a white paper plate.
Colour the sun as bright as you can then carefully cut it out. You could use crayons, pencils or even paint.
You might like to give your sun a face or even stick some sunglasses on him, traced from black paper.
If you want to make your sun even more dazzling add some glitter.
You might like to ask an adult to take a photo and send it to Mrs Ishak.
Some ideas for your sun craft! Use whatever you have at home - yellow/orange paint, textas, paper scraps, crepe paper... Be creative and have fun! I'd love to see some pics of your sun!
In your Wednesday pack, find The Solar System worksheet and grab some coloured pencils, scissors and glue.
Carefully colour each planet. Try and colour them similar to what they really look like.
Colour the sun then carefully cut just below the square.
See above.
Using your scissors carefully, cut around each planet and paste them in the correct position from the sun.
