Select an icebreaker from below to work on with your mentees. You are free to select several or repeat the same icebreaker with each of your mentees. Please keep in mind some of these icebreakers are within the mentee journal.
You are also free to design and deliver your own icebreaker if you would prefer.
In order to establish a productive working relationship within your mentoring sessions it is important to establish 'ground rules' and set boundaries.
You do not need to be too formal in introducing these ground rules, but you do need mentees to 'buy in' and agree. These ground rules can then be referred back to if needed. Remember to refer back to mentor training if you need further information.
Mentees should be familiar with these from Year 9 mentoring, so this should be a quick recap.
[These ground rules are within the mentee journal]
