An online DBS application will be sent out to mentors who do not have a DBS certificate issued by The University of Sheffield.
You will need to select documents which are used to verify your application. If there are issues please flag these with the Access Mentoring team.
DBS checks will take place in training, and in ad-hoc sessions depending on your school placement. You will be informed if you need to attend the ad-hoc sessions separately.
Please visit the Access Mentoring Team (Arts Tower, Level 3) to show your certificate as soon as you receive your certificate. The Access Mentoring team will take a note of the issue number and date of issue. We recommend that you always take your certificate with you to your school sessions.
If you haven't received an automated email from the DBS company GBG with a link for you to fill out an application form, and you haven't already completed a DBS check for another programme, please let us know as soon as possible.
Reminder - your verification documents must be originals, must match the ones you selected on the electronic form, and must be within date.
