Please see below an overview of sessions available for you to download and deliver as part of Year 12 virtual mentoring. The sessions are not in order of when you should deliver them. Please note that some of these sessions may also be delivered within Year 13 mentoring.
Remember that it is up to you which session you choose to deliver and when - but also that you can edit, adjust and create new session material to suit your mentee's individual circumstances and needs.
[This session will prepare mentees for attendance at a university Open Day. It will help them prepare and maximise their time at the Open Day, inform them of what to expect, and ensure that they also reflect upon their attendance. It will also provide TUOS specific Open Day information]
[This session will focus upon identifying your mentees hopes & gears regarding university and student life more broadly and allow the mentor to provide a 'reality check' to what university life is really like.]
[This session will focus on the benefits of gaining meaningful work experience and guidance on how to find, and make the most of, work experience placements.]
[This session will focus on professional skills, their importance and how to improve them. There is a particular focus upon communication skills, time management, decision making, accountability and professionalism]
