This presentation will allow the mentor to identify their mentees 'Hopes' & 'Fears' about University and student life. It will also allow the mentor to provide their own 'reality check' against each of the raised points.
The presentation is not long and will require mentors to repeat the Hope/Fear/Reality check cycle.
It will end with a prompt to the University support & engagement document that provides more info and avenues to research outside of the mentoring session.
This document includes various links to services that cater to all aspects of student life - from academic support to personal well-being, community engagement, and practical aspects like accommodation and work opportunities.
This is a great resource to pass along to your mentee so they can research in their own time.
