Mrs Adams and Mr McGavey: Co-Directors of Learning of English 

Year 7 have just completed their study of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and have been using the text to inspire their own creative writing. We hope that students will be encouraged to read the rest of the novels which are available in our school library. 

Year 8 have just finished reading The Giver and have enjoyed the dystopian genre. This novel is part of a quartet, and these are available to read in our school library. 

Year 9 have been learning about media literacy, our modern-day defence against the dark arts! Students have learned about Artificial Intelligence, academic integrity and how to become more media savvy. 

Year 10 have completed their study of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, how apt given the time of year! 

Year 11 and 13 have completed mock examinations and are now preparing for their exams. Year 11s are revising Animal Farm and Romeo and Juliet.
