We celebrated this month with our cohort from 2024/25 with our 4th Presentation Evening on Wednesday 19th November 2025.  The Mayor of Dartford was in attendance to make the presentation of certificates and badges to all our Bronze and Silver recipients.

This year we also had our first ever at SGLA Young Leaders Award students recieving thier certificates from the Mayor a wonderful achievement for the students and the Academy and we hope to have more students go through this programme next year.

 The evening was a great success and we have 29 students at bronze level and 14 at silver collect their awards as well as awarding the Team of the Year at both Bronze and Silver levels.

The year ahead looks very promising and bright with currently 50 students attending regular after school sessions on a Wednesday for the new 2025/26 Bronze cohort and 20 students signed up to undertake their Silver award who completed Bronze last year.  The numbers for Gold although not yet confirmed look to be around 7 or 8 for the coming season so we could be looking at a record breaking year at the end of the 2025/26 DofE season.

With lots of exciting events and fundraising planned for 2026 and the Awards 70th birthday the award here at SGLA continues to grow and more and more students are signing up to engage in the award.
