My observations in Makunsar highlight traditional architectural elements such as sloping roofs, staggered layouts, and extended walls creating functional backyards for daily chores. Incorporating these features into my design fosters a strong connection to nature and community. For instance, sloping roofs not only enhance aesthetic appeal but also facilitate efficient rainwater drainage, where multiple sloping roofs harmonize with the landscape. Integrating courtyards and open spaces encourages social interaction and provides natural light and ventilation. By embracing these elements, this design can create a harmonious environment that resonates with the cultural and environmental context of the region.
