Design Intent: The idea of confluence, shapes the lives of Mukunsar village and heavily influences it typologically. the mediating spaces between houses are the are the most important coordinates within the landscape. the coordinates do many things as for the people of this village that sits far from the city, the neighbors are family and therefore each Custer becomes a family itself. in my design i was looking at how the courtyards and backyards of houses connected through the house and how they connected the surrounding houses. The interview i had with a resident of the old age home we also studied, dwelled  about how he was a photographer in the 90s , a traveler and how he and most of the residents felt like they were on a hamster wheel within the confines of the home. inspired by this feedback i experimented with the idea of expansiveness within the site. i explored the idea of movement by layering pathways, creating accessible roofs and pathways through the foliage, looking at how we can layer configurations and create a canvas to explore and have  new exprienceses withing the confines of a site.
