The design of this Old Age Home focuses on creating a comfortable, safe and connected environment for the residents. The main idea behind the design is the use of walls in different sizes to create both privacy and openness, while connecting to nature and to each other.
Walls as the main element: The walls are designed in different heights and widths to create different spaces for various activities. These walls not only divide the building into rooms and areas but also help to keep things private while still feeling open and airy.
Connection to Nature: Large windows are placed in the design to bring the outdoors inside. The rooms are arranged in such a way that it can give beautiful views of the surroundings allowing them to feel connected to nature.
Merging Walls with Landscape: the walls themselves seem to emerge from the landscape, extending beyond the building envelope and Blending with the surrounding environment. This interplay between built and natural elements creates a seamless transition between interior and exterior spaces .the merging of walls and landscape adds sense of continuity and flow . The design uses both horizontal and vertical lines in the layout of walls and spaces. This guides the way people move through the building.
