The game Clash of Clans has become one of the most popular games among the students and teachers in Sand Creek Schools. Rory Eack, a senior at Sand Creek, says, “It’s the best game ever created.”
Clash of Clans is a free mobile game, where you train troops, research levels for your troops and build and upgrade buildings. Users battle different bases to gain gold and elixir. Players use these to train, research and build. There are also clans that you can join, so you can play with your friends.
Goofy Ah Clan is very popular in the school, especially with the seniors. There are currently 48 members in the clan. Eack is the leader of Goofy Ah Clan. Caleb Luck says, “We are very welcoming, we accept anyone no matter what town hall you are.”
Being in a clan is crucial to succeeding in Clash of Clans. Players can donate troops and other resources used in battles.
Beginners playing the game can get confused easily. Ephraim Phillips suggests, “Take your time and don’t rush your town hall.” Rushing means upgrading your town hall before you upgrade all the rest of your buildings first.
The buildings you should upgrade first are, “Your storages that way you can upgrade your defense next,” says Eack.
There are many other aspects to Clash of Clans, such as clan wars, clan games, builder base and Otto’s outpost.
Clan wars are where one clan is placed against another clan. The clan leader decides who will be in against the opposing clan out of the roster of clan members.
Clan games are individual events that everyone in the clan participates in, in order to gain points which unlock rewards all members must participate in various quests.
The builders base is a separate area you progress the same way but with different materials, defenses and troops as well as ottos outpost which is a subdivision of the builders base.
The game has been growing among Sand Creek students, and members in Goofy Ah Clan hope to recruit additional players.
