Who Knows Sabrina Carpenter?

With the comeback of American pop-star, Sabrina Carpenter, people are bound to know her from her songs or acting days, but is that actually true? 

Espresso was the song of the summer and she continues to rule the charts with her number one hit song, Please Please Please, and number two song, Taste, as well as a huge album Short n’ Sweet that managed to debut at the top of the Billboard 200 with 362,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. However, most people know Sabrina Carpenter from the show Girl Meets World, and platinum certified single Thumbs.

Junior Kynsie Dull was asked, "Do you know who Sabrina Carpenter is?" to which she responded with a yes. She says she discovered Sabrina Carpenter “In her Girl Meets World Era.”  When asked if Dull knew previous songs from Sabrina Carpenter, she responded, “I’m a new fan.” She also stated, “Have you tried this one? That’s my statement!”

Some were even newer fans of the pop star as Adriana Woodword said, “I would say I would say probably like within the last year or two maybe I don’t really know.” When asked if she was familiar with any of Sabrina’s past work or TikToks Woodward responded, “Um Oh I know that she was in a show, I really discovered her last couple years,but I know she was in like a couple shows when she was younger I think but I know her from her TikToks from her concerts.”

Junior Mahayla King said, “I discovered her in Girl Meets World. I also discovered her in a song that I don’t remember the name of.” She also stated, “I’m trying to remember I kinda remember the music video kinda reminds me of ballerinas or something.” She also said she heard a few songs of hers on the radio. King also stated one of her favorite Sabrina Carpenter songs was Thumbs.

Overall, it seems as if Sand Creek students are familiar with Sabrina Carpenter, but they have discovered her in different ways over the years.
