We are excited to welcome you to "Bring Your Parent to School Day"!
To help us make the day as smooth and enjoyable as possible, we kindly ask for your cooperation with the following important details and guidelines:
Who Can Attend:
Guardians Only:
All attending guardians must present legal identification and must be listed as a guardian in PowerSchool to attend.
To streamline the check-in process, please upload your ID for pre-check-in in the RSVP form below. This will allow us to sign you in quickly on the day of the event. Please note that you may experience delays at check-in if your RSVP is not received in advance.
No Siblings Allowed:
To ensure a focused and safe environment for our students, only parents/guardians listed in PowerSchool may attend. Please make alternative arrangements for any siblings or non-registered guests. RSVP for Bring your Parent to School Day Here

Clairemont 75th Birthday Bash
Clairemont 75th Birthday Bash
Join us tomorrow, Oct 18th between 1:30-2:00 when our Jazz Band plays the Clairemont 75th Birthday Bash event. The concert will be at Clairemont Town Square, right off Clairemont Mesa Blvd and in front of the Vons supermarket. CPMA will also have an arts table set up. Please stop by and say hi and cheer on our students!
Old globe's julius caesar coming to cpma
Old globe's julius caesar coming to cpma
Beware the Ides of March! We are excited to announce The Old Globe will be visiting CPMA next month and will be presenting William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar "in the round" on Wednesday, November 19th at 6:00 in the Cathy Hickman Black Box Theatre.
This performance is part of the "Globe for All Tour" where they perform plays at colleges, schools, and other public settings. This performance is FREE, and concessions will be FREE. We are thrilled that this is happening here at CPMA and encourage families to make a night of it and see some classic Shakespearean drama on our campus.

Please make sure your student can commit to the full season. Practices 2x/week and games every Saturday at SDUSD high schools.
VAPA Conflicts:
After-school arts rehearsals may overlap with sports. Arts take priority with on our dedication to arts programming. Coaches will prioritize students who can fully commit and who may not play with outside teams.
Tryout Information:
Students who meet CPMA's Success Criteria by the 9/12/25 Semester P1 Report Card are eligible and have a completed Winter Registration will be listed on the Tryout Page (link available 11/4/25).
Tryout Day Details:
Line up at the PE gate after school (see dates).
Check-in starts at 2:41 PM
Locker rooms are not available. Please come dressed and ready.
Tryouts end at 4:25 PM

On Thursday, October 9th, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM, San Diego Youth Services will facilitate an informative Parent Meeting discussing the SOS Signs Suicide® Prevention Program as well as a discussion about Bullying Prevention. The meeting will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams.

7th Grade Swim lesson opportunity
7th Grade Swim lesson opportunity
Thursday, October 9th we are excited to offer a 7th Grade opportunity to attend a swim lesson focused on drowning prevention at the Standley Aquatic Center. This OPTIONAL field trip is hosted by the PE Department with Coach Kastorff and Mr. Geoffrey Shimotsu. If you are interested in having your student attend this optional field trip, please read the information letter attached below for instructions. Space is very limited and reserved on a first come first serve basis. Permission slips were distributed in PE/Dance classes and extra copies are available for pick up from Coach Kastorff or Ms. Trinell in the main office.
