Our Math Department is thrilled to invite 8th Graders to the Mission Fed Junior Achievement Finance Park to participate in a finance simulation. On this field trip, students will explore careers, calculate incomes, and create a 1-month budget. This is an exciting opportunity for students to engage in real life scenarios that build financial confidence. Students will attend one date with their math class on either Jan. 20, 29, or 30 (see permission slip that was sent home with student). Field Trip Flyer
Permission Slip and Lunch Order Required:
With parent permission to attend, your student will be excused from all classes on the day of the event and they are responsible for any assignments missed during instruction (in classes other than math). Please return the permission slip to math teachers and complete this Lunch Order Form by: Tuesday, January 6th 2026.

Impact Aid is a federal program that helps schools like ours make up for the loss of local property tax revenue caused by federally impacted property—such as military bases or federal housing.
By completing this short survey, you directly help CPMA secure essential funding that supports student programs, staffing, classroom materials, and overall school resources. Every survey counts, and even if your family is not federally connected, your response still helps us meet the required participation rate.

LOTE Language Other Than English
CPMA will offer the LOTE Language Other Than English exam January 13-16. SDUSD offers alternative options to satisfy high school world language requirements for students. One of these options is passing the LOTE exam. This assessment allows students to demonstrate their listening, speaking, reading, and writing language skills in a language other than English. Students that are eligible to take this exam were sent an invitation to sign up through parent email on 12-4-25. If you have not received an invitation and believe your student should take this exam please reach out to Ms. Celedon at gceledon@sandi.net to request an eligibility review.

After-school arts rehearsals may overlap with sports. Arts take priority with on our dedication to arts programming. Coaches will prioritize students who can fully commit and who may not play with outside teams.

Students are NOT assigned to a late activity route and may take the route closest to their house. Students are responsible to communicate with parents/guardians to plan accordingly.
Core Academy is going to the San Diego History Center! Our students will be learning about the Women's Suffrage Movement and key historical figures from San Diego and California.
When: Saturday 12/20/25 8:30am- 12:30pm
Permission Slips located in the main office or HERE, admission to the museum is free. All students must be dropped of by 8:30 am and picked up by 12:30 pm.
