Resources for Families Impacted by Recent Storms
We recognize that your communities have been severely impacted by yesterday’s storm. Children & Youth in Transition developed a list of resources to assist families and students during this difficult time.
The Red Cross is located at Lincoln High School for families that need immediate support. Families should be directed to the new gym where they can enter off Franklin & Gloria. Red Cross personnel are on campus to assist.
Feeding San Diego is set up at Balboa Elem. They are distributing shelf stable food (4 pounds) and produce-apples, oranges, pears. Food is available until it’s gone.
The Humane Society is set up outside of the gym for pets. The situation will be assessed day by day, but they are currently open.
CYT can also provide support with a hotel stay for families in need for up to 10 days. Project Rest assists families in providing temporary housing vouchers who do not have home/renters insurance. Please contact ccamacho@sandi.net for a referral.
*Families may request a referral to the county Office of Homeless for a case manager to assist with finding more stable housing.

January 21st, 2024
Hello CPMA Families,
Tomorrow is the first day of Semester 2! Thanks to our amazing staff, students, and community we have made big strides Behavior and attendance! Chronic absenteeism is at 25% which is down from 39% last school year. Students attending school daily is imperative for student success and learning. Our behavior incidents have declined since the opening of school. See data below:
Number of Incidents by Progress Reporting period
P1: 62
P2: 46 ↓16
S1 : 26 ↓20
Total Incidents: 135
Number of Suspensions by Progress Reporting period
P1: 51
P2: 22 ↓29
S1 : 18 ↓4
Total Suspensions: 90
This improvement and decrease in behaviors can be attributed to the hard work, compassion, patience, and relationship building that all staff and students have been dedicated to. We implemented Behavior Support plans, parent shadow days, weekly/daily behavior charts, individualized spotlight student support, Eligibility support plans, tardy recovery, and our Core Restore process to aide in student growth after in incident occurs. We are making progress on our District and school LCAP goal of Cultivating Inclusive, Anti-Racism and Restorative Schools, Classrooms and District. We appreciate all the familes support as well as we work to improve our campus culture so that ALL students may feel safe, understood, heard, and THRIVE!

2024-25 School Schedule
There are 2 schedules that we have been working on for the 2024-25 school year. Below you will see the feedback from staff and the schedules, then you will see the option to let SGT know which you prefer. SGT will be voting on our bell schedule for next year at the next SGT meeting Jan 24th, 2024 at 4:45pm.
Due to (1) consistently increasing traffic on the 805 which cause daily late buses and students missing instructional time, (2) as well as our changing end time, the district transportation office has requested that we change our start time for 2024-25 to 8:00am. This change will (1) reduce the number of students late to school due to traffic, (2) reduce the length of the bus ride for students, and (3) allow for increased attendance of after school and extracurricular activities.
All Community members are welcomed to attend as a guest and contribute to the discussions. Only Members are able to vote for the action items listed on the agendas.
