Reflective Self-Portrait

I am calling this project, "Goobers" because we're just goobers. The subject is a portrait of myself and Celia. I chose to create this specific work because I wanted to take a photo with an interesting composition, in a "boring" environment. I used a variety of techniques including reflection and selective focus. While creating this work I paid close attention to centering each of us in the mirror and I did that by looking through my viewfinder and angling the mirrors until they lined up. I wanted my artwork to look kind of confusing and I think I did a fine job of it. I like the way the color is spread throughout the composition and am proud of the idea I had with the two in one portrait. However, I struggled with finding a broader range of value with more lights. If I created another work like this I may take them around natural light to get a greater value range. My work shows that I learned to create a reflective self-portrait.
