Feet

I am calling this project Footsteps because the subject is animal tracks through the woods. The subject is an old shed in the woods and some animal tracks through the snow, based off our assignment to incorporate feet into our concentration. I chose to create this specific work because I like how the image with the shed fills the gap in the photo with the tracks. I used different techniques when creating this image including angle up and repetition. When creating this image I paid close attention to balancing out the composition between the two photographs. I wanted my photo to look mysterious and I did that by making the old shed and tracks black and white. To add interest to my composition, I used balance and contrast by having the brighter snow with tracks on the left and the darker shed on the right. I like the way that the tracks disappear into the woods and I am proud of my preplanning that I did in my head before going out to take the images. However, I struggled with making the trees in the shed image brighter. I wish the image wasn't so dark in the sky and trees and I would work on that if I created another image like this. My work shows that I can incorporate feet into my concentration.
