Man Ray, Dora Maar 1936

The image's subject is a woman trying to get out of what could be a room or a glass. it was taken by Man Ray an artist related to the Dada and Surrealist movements, with an analogic camera and is a collage of the negative and the positive. the shapes and values are use as an juxtaposition of a personal dile that the subject is having. I choose it because it expres a lot of feelings.

Cats, 2017Courtesy Alex Prager Studio and Lehmann Maupin, New York and Hong Kong

The image's subject is a group of cats, it was taken with a digital camera. It haves strong colors that bring freshens and festivity to the image, the movement of the cats and their eyes looking directly to the camera could make the viewer unforfortabe, what I think is a really strong point. This is an modern image that reflects the connections that people have with animals in the 21 century.

Paul Gauguin, Nafea Faa Ipoipo

The painting's subjects are two women lain in the grass, the bright colors give the viewer a sense of happiness, that in my opinion is backed up with the shapes and the curvy lines. The use of the brush is really characteristic from the post impressionist and I really like the simplicity of the hall painting

Diego Velazquez, Las Meninas

This image’s subject are the princess of Spain and her babysitters. I really like it because the painter painted from the view of the kings when they were getting their portraits, you can see them in the reflection of the mirror, it was really inovant in that moment! The use of light and the mastery of the details is what make this painting so good.

Giotto, Lamento di Cristo morto

The painting's subject is Christ dead surrounded by saints and angels. The colors are really vibrant and symbolic of a lot of christian morals, the facial expressions make the viewer emphasize with the theme, back then people didn't know how to read so it was really important to communicate ideas through symbols. It's composition is really well taught, with a lot of leading lines that bring you directly to christ, Giotto was the first painter that use this thechiche and also perspective.
