COLOR THEORY

The assignment for this project was to Using the 3 primary colors (red, blue, yellow), create the three secondary colors (green, violet, orange). Then, mix the primary colors with the secondary colors to create the tertiary colors (blue-green, blue -violet, etc). Each hue should have 3 shades and 3 tints . In total, you should have at least 84 different hues on your “Color Wheel.” My painting’s subject was an eye. I first drew the shapies in pencil and then I colored them up.

I used colors that contrast each other to make them look more vivid. I created the idea of space by making shades in the eye. At first it wasn't going to be an eye but then I change it, and added the skin so it look like an eye.

The painting is about the connection between the eye and our soul, the colorful purple represents our soul. The painting relates to my live because I love that theory, the eye (no pupil) is what I’m proudest of and what I struggle the most with.
