INSPIRED IMAGE 2

I took this image in the fall, in a really cloudy day, in my backyard. I took it with a school film camera that didn’t rally had a lot of options for focusing or adjusting the aperture. I really like the values that the low clouds bring to the image and the contrast between the the smooth texture of the clouds and the rough texture of the dead treas.

The image has a clear formal balance with a complete symmetry from left to right, it's also a silhouette lighting in the closet trees and bushes, the low key lighting gives a sense of unity and mystery

I had to revise a lot of things in the dark room, this was one of the few images i took in that roll that came up right, I was thinking about revising it for removing all the visible mistakes that I made in the dark room but then I realized that I personally like how they look, it makes it look even more miserus.

I was inspired by Manuel Bravo and I wanted to create an image with the theme of the death that he often worked with, I don't know why, but I have always associated the cloudy days with this theme and looking to the image it gives me the idea of a passage to another world, maybe the paradise.

I took this image in my host family garden, is a place that where I really enjoy spending time and it brings me back a lot of fun memories.

As I said I initially thought that this image could be stronger if I print it another time, avoiding processing mistakes, but then I realized I like those mistakes because they give more “personality”
