NEGATIVE SPACE DRaWINGS

The assignment was to draw a chair and leaves by the use of negative space, negative space is the area of an image not occupied by shapes or forms. This part of the drawing is often neglected, or filled with casual scribbles. Negative space drawing involves concentrating on drawing the background, leaving the object white.

The first drawing didn't really have a setting, we just collected the leaves and then put them on the paper, because they are flat they were easier to draw ,but the second drawing was harder: we had to look just to the negative parts but also create an interesting composition just by the use oh lines and shapes. The second step of the process was to color that negative space, in the first drawing I used the colors that the leaves had, I made shapes that give the idea of the color falling from the leaves but in the second one I didn't know what to draw, I was looking to patrons present in the nature and I saw the leopard print, but I try it in a different sheet of paper and it didn't look good so I thought about the crater of a volcano I was going to color the white parts in black but it didn't look good so I didn't

The patron give unity and movement to the driving .

The project also has part of me because since I was little I really liked the lava and how it muves, I think gives the Idea of movement by using the different colors between yellow and red in different parts,.

I think that's what i'm proudest of, I didn't really struggle with anything in the drawing because I first tried every thing in other pieces of paper, but it’s true that it took me really long.
