In order to record your first video, you are going to need to learn how to operate the video components.
It is important that both you and your partner understand how to operate the equipment. You will be recording each section of your scripts as an individual file, and then creating a video using "WeVideo".
Watch the video below and then follow the instructions to learn how to use a teleprompter!
Step 1- Open your script from your Google Drive
Step 2- Learn to use a Teleprompter
You will be using a 'web-based app' called "ZaCue" to read your script from when recording for the next activity.
Click 'the star' to make a bookmark for ZaCue, you'll be needing it again.
Paste your document into the teleprompter. DO NOT click the "MIRROR" button (see image to the right)
Press 'Ctrl C' to copy & 'Ctrl V' to paste.
If ZaCue will not work, try using this teleprompter app instead: teleprompter-online.com
Step 3- Practice using Zacue
1- Open the ZaCue app link found in Act. 5
2-Copy and paste your script into ZaCue
3- Turn on the little teleprompter monitor
5- Practice using the space bar to start and stop the script on the teleprompter screen
Step 4- Practice reading your script
You will need to practice reading your script using the teleprompter.
You will both need to adjust the speed of the prompter to match your reading. It may take a bit of practice, but will make a big difference.
