Digital Video Activity 1-
Using the DJI OSMO Pocket 3 camcorder
Using the DJI OSMO Pocket 3 camcorder
At this module you will be using a digital camcorder to record both still and motion pictures.
You will then learn how to use a 'web-based' application called "WeVideo". You will be able to create professional looking videos using this website, and eventually upload these videos to your (school) YouTube Channel! In order to complete this module you must let your parents or guardians know what you are doing in class and get a permission slip signed! (Consent forms are located on the top shelf of your station)
Step 1- Get the permission slip and get it signed!
Get a copy of the permission slip for videotaping off the top shelf of your module. Put a note in your agenda to get the slip signed and return the form signed; tomorrow!
You can’t start filming until you do!
You will be using the DJI OSMO Pocket 3 digital video camera!
STEP 2- Watch the intro video below!
Step 3- Ask your teacher for the DJI OSMO Pocket 3 and watch this instructional video:
When you feel you know them all, show your teacher what you have learned.
Be sure to highlight the:
Power button
Record button
How to switch modes from still to video capture
How to zoom
Step 2- Take 4 pictures of 4 different students working at their modules & a short video of the classroom as a whole to use for your first movie
Take 4 still photos of students working at their modules in Room 200. Try to get pictures that represent what that person is working on at each module.
Make sure that you are pressing the ‘photo’ button to take pictures, not the RED button.
DO NOT BE A PEST OR DISRUPT THE CLASS WHEN TAKING YOUR PHOTOS!
In addition to the 4 pictures, take a quick video showing a 'walk through' of room 200.
It should only be 60 seconds or so.
Start at one side of the room and end at the other.
Try to keep the camera from shaking while you are 'filming'!
