This module will introduce you to completing simple tasks using our robots, and teach you some simple coding.
The most common and useful way to control a robot is "coding". Coding is writing a set of commands that tell the robot what to do and when to do it.
At this module you will learn how to interact with robots. You will use several different methods of controlling the robots to accomplish your tasks.
1. Empowered Learner (ISTE Standard 1):Students leverage technology to take an active role in choosing, achieving, and demonstrating competency in their learning goals.
The assignment empowers students to explore robotics and coding, allowing them to take initiative in solving coding challenges and enhancing their skills.
2. Computational Thinker (ISTE Standard 5):Students develop and employ strategies for understanding and solving problems in ways that leverage the power of technological methods to develop and test solutions.
By coding robots to complete various challenges, students practice computational thinking, breaking down problems and creating algorithms to achieve their goals.
3. Creative Communicator (ISTE Standard 6): Students communicate clearly and express themselves creatively for a variety of purposes using the platforms, tools, styles, formats, and digital media appropriate to their goals.
As students code robots, they express their creativity in designing solutions to challenges, effectively communicating their ideas through the programming they develop.
