To record a newscast you will need a script to read from. If you were to take the time to make-up and write a script there would not be enough time to record it. Because of this, we are going to use the actual news that is available to us everyday on the internet.

You will copy current news stories for your newscast, and paste them into a Google document for your script.

Normally copying things for school work is plagiarism (Cheating!) Because you are not claiming credit for the news stories or trying to make money from your broadcast, this will be considered an acceptable use of resources that you have been instructed to use.

Step 1- Create Google document for your script. (Be sure you are logged into Chrome) You then need to give your document a name!
Click on the box that says “Untitled document” and then type in both your name & your partners name, then period #. Then click ‘OK’
Step 2 - ‘Share’ your script with your partner and your teacher.
Click on the ‘Share’ button in the upper right hand corner of the window and then click in the box that says ‘add people’ like Mrs. Adorno or Mr. Patarini -
You also need to share your script with your partner, Type in their last name.
After you have shared your script with your teacher and your partner, click ‘done’. You’re all set to start copying your script.
Step 3 -Find your news!
Your final script will have the following:
2 news stories (one for each partner)
2 sports stories (one for each partner)
2 weather reports (one for each partner- split the 8 Day forecast)

Have your partner log into the script document on their chromebook and you can work on finding your news at the same time
