The Tech Teachers

Mr. Patarini-

Mr. Patarini, or "Mr. Pat" for short, has been teaching Technology Education at GMS since 2001. In the past he has taught Engineering, Robotics and Power Mechanics at Rocky Hill High School. He has been a supervisor and evaluator for 8 student teachers from CCSU over his career. He is proud that in 2013-14 GMS Tech Ed was awarded the Connecticut Technology Education program of the year by the CTEEA. Mr. Pat is the Unified Arts Team Leader and Tech Ed Subject Area Supervisor. Outside of school he enjoys playing guitar and practicing Tang Soo Do.

Mr. Ellis

Mr. Ellis is a flat-lander from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida! Certified in Tech-Ed, he has taught thousands of students in Connecticut, Florida, North Carolina, and Europe about the wonders of technology. Mr. Ellis, a former Division 1 athlete, played football for the University of Southern Mississippi and the University of Arizona before completing his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education at the University of Florida. He has travelled to 19 countries and even taught in Wrocław , Poland for 2 years!

Mr. Ellis has a Wife and a 2-year-old daughter. He enjoys Football, Hockey, Traveling the world, and races snowboards! His favorite teams are the Florida Gators, Jacksonville Jaguars and Tampa Bay Lightning.

Mr. Ellis' favorite quote is: "Leaders are made, they are not born. They are made hard by effort which is the price all of us must pay to achieve any goal worthwhile."
