Our Local Pubs & Bars
Just at the top of our road are a couple of lovely local pubs, and there are many more of all different kinds & styles within 5 minutes walk of us
1. Hand In Hand - our closest local brew pub, painted bright yellow, turn right at the top of our street. Very small, friendly local pub, full of local characters, who love a good beer and a chat! They even brew their own ales - and have live jazz most Sunday evenings
2. The Fallen Angel - newly refurbished, really friendly smart little local, run by two lovely girls
3. The Sidewinder - bigger pub, with a couple of beer garden spaces out back, music, video games and sofas, often with events & special nights
4. The Black Dove - laid back, trendy little bar, with a really wide variety of beers & wines and great atmosphere. Always busy, spiling out to a few tables on the street and they even cram in a live DJ on some nights!
5. Brighton Rocks - this fun little cocktail bar down a cute little mews road, serves food as well as great drinks, with a midweek 2 cocktails for £10 deal
6. Camelford Arms - stylish, traditional gay bears pub where everyone is welcome. Quiz nights & events sometimes and great food always available.
7. Saint James - traditional pub right on St James Street, with music, Thai food and people spilling out onto the street
8. The Marine Tavern - absolutely tiny little gay pub with old style wooden interior giving it real charm. Often busy (and not just because it's so small) with special events, dance and cabaret nights
9. Queens Arms - our regular gay cabaret pub, with drag shows pretty much every evening at 10pm and on Sundays at 6pm and 9pm. It gets busy, so get there early to get a seat - but not in the front row, unless you want to be picked on!
10. Tørstigbar - Brighton’s first low alcohol bar & bottleshop. A carefully curated selection of the finest low alcohol drinks from all over the world. Nothing above 0.5% ABV
11. The Mucky Duck - a laid back, independent pub with urban art gallery, gigs & events all week. Family & dog friendly till 8pm, with coffee, tea, wifi, games, etc

13. The Plotting Parlour - relaxed, friendly speakeasy-style cocktail bar with great table service, hidden away just behind the seafront. Great cocktails. Gets busy but you can book a table in advance
14. Bar Revenge - big cheap & cheerful gay bar with drink promos, linked to Club Revenge
15. Charles Street Tap - next door to Revenge, another big gay bar with heated outdoor terrace and a nightclub upstairs. DJs, event nights and some drag shows. We love Sally Vate's Sunday evening drag cabarets!
16. Patterns - seafront music & dance club, with bar and terrace. DJs and music every night with more hard core dance nights in the hot & sweaty basement club at least every Saturday
17. The Amsterdam - seafront hotel, with gay bar, kitchen and terrace. Sit out front with a drink overlooking the pier
