Everyone is welcome everywhere in Brighton, as it should be everywhere, but if you're looking to hang out with a particular crowd, then here are some places generally popular with different parts of the LGBTQ+ crowd...
Bars & Pubs
- Legends - 5 mins walk - great little bar & club, with drag shows every Sunday afternoon. One of our favourites, with lovely terrace bar overlooking the seafront. 
- Camelford Arms - 5 mins walk - smart pub, popular with gay bears, serving excellent food - very popular for Sunday Lunch roasts - best to book. 
- The Funky Fish Bar - 5 mins walk - Bijou bar & club at the New Madeira Hotel, playing funk, disco, dance and house classics, popular with hens, stags & lots of fun 
- The Amsterdam - 5 mins walk - seafront hotel, bar & terrace overlooking the pier. 
- Charles Street Tap - 10 mins walk - Large, funky gay bar with heated outdoor terrace and a nightclub upstairs, serving food until 8pm. Regular weekly drag show, currently every Tuesday (but do check for any changes). 
- Club Revenge / Bar Revenge - 10 mins walk - LBGTQ+ club spread over 3 floors, with panoramic sea views from the rooftop terrace - plus Bar Revenge just round the corner. Big club nights and high profile drag acts most Friday / Saturday nights. 
- Affinity Bar - 10 mins walk - little gay bar at the bottom of St James's Street 
- Marine Tavern - 10 mins walk, just off St James's Street - tiny, old, traditional gay pub with friendly staff and clientelle and ocassional drag performances 
- Queen's Arms - 10 mins walk - Gay cabaret pub featuring live drag performances most nights of the week and buzzing karaoke nights. 
- The Bulldog - 5 mins walk - Landmark LGBT pub & hangout known for lively karaoke nights & a laid-back atmosphere, normally open until very late. 
- The Zone - 5 mins walk - Nice, quirky little gay bar with great music, occasional entertainment and often a lot of characters! 
- Le Village - 5 mins walk - this place is how gay bars used to be, always a lot of fun & entertainment on most evenings, something different to other LGBT bars 
- The Actors - 10 mins walk - formerly The Marlborough pub & theatre, a hub for all the LGBTQ+ since the 1970s, with queer events, music and pizza 
- The Brighton Tavern - 15 mins walk - a gay friendly pub with a fun atmosphere in North Laines 
- Regency Tavern - 15 mins walk (20 in heels) - traditional regency pub, tucked away behind Churchill Square, with drag show every Saturday night. 
- The Grosvenor - 30 mins walk - Lively, late-opening gay bar with modern, fairy-lit interior, original features & an open fire and weekly drag cabaret shows 
- The Bedford Tavern - 30 mins walk, right opposite The Grosvenor - an infamous Brighton back street boozer doing it's own special thing for over 200 years and still going strong. Regular cabaret shows & performances. Piano Bingo on Sundays is a must! 
- The Daddy Long Legs - 15 mins walk - a wonderfully stylish gay pub near the Marina, a welcoming pub that is all about quality. Lovely pub garden & great food.
