From Red Brighton Blue, your options are:-

Walk 10 mins, along St James's Street and just carry straight on
When you are passing the Royal Pavilion on your right, The Lanes will be on your left, The North Laines to your right and the city centre, Churchill Square Shopping (20 mins) and Hove straight ahead (30 mins)
Cycle 10 mins, pick up BTN Bikeshare bike at the top of St James's Street
Bus 10 mins, take Bus number 1, 2 or 7 from the Park Street stop on Edward Street. Buses approx every 10 mins - from 7am until 11.30pm.
On the way back from the city to the hotel get off Bus 7 at Park Street, or Bus 1 or 2 at Rock Gardens or Park Street.
Taxi 10 mins, order a taxi on 01273 256300. Typically would cost around £7-10
