Pink Shirt Day February 24, 2021: This Pink Shirt Day, our focus is working together and treating others with dignity and respect. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected us all and shown the importance of helping one another and advocating for those who need it. Our goal on this day and everyday is to “lift each other up” and encourage healthy self esteem by teaching empathy, compassion and kindness. (https://www.pinkshirtday.ca/).
Universal Classroom Lessons: In the month of February, our Counselling Team will share a virtual mindfulness lesson with staff on Guided Vizualization. Please check the tab at the top of the page called 'Mindfulness Focus' and select 'Guided Vizualization/Storytime' for more tools to use at home.
A Child of Books is a stunning prose poem on the rewards of reading and sharing stories — an immersive and unforgettable reading experience that readers will want to pass on to others.
