Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) can be used in the classroom and at home to help with focussing, relaxation and sleep onset. Sleep onset can be difficult for children who struggle with self-regulation as they may have trouble settling. PMR also helps to develop body awareness as participants tense and release various parts of their body which would be very beneficial for younger children as they develop a sense of personal space.
