Edison Tech Student Creation For Breast Cancer
&
Edison Donation To Rochester Breast Cancer Coalition
🎀 Edison Campus Unites for a Cause 💗
Today, November 26th, the Edison Campus had the honor of welcoming the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester to accept a heartfelt donation raised by our dedicated staff. This meaningful contribution was made possible through the purchase of pink ribbons, where teachers wrote messages or the names of loved ones impacted by breast cancer. Each ribbon was secured to a stunning double-heart display crafted by our talented students.
This project was a true collaborative effort across multiple CTE programs:
🔨 Welding Shop: Students sketched and brainstormed designs, crafting the double-heart shape and securing brackets for mounting.
⚙️ Machine Shop: Students produced attachment brackets and metal standoffs for assembly.
🪚 Carpentry Shop: Students cut wooden heart shapes to mount the final display.
The completed project will be part of Edison’s Breast Cancer Remembrance Display, symbolizing hope, support, and unity. This initiative brought together CTE students’ skills, staff collaboration, and the unwavering support of the Breast Cancer Coalition.
We are proud to make this a yearly tradition at Edison Campus, continuing our commitment to both craftsmanship and community care. 💕
