Students will work in conjunction with a female professional in the areas of Automotive Technology, Machining, Engineering, and Welding. Together, they will work to complete mini-projects at each rotational station. Students will also be able to take part in a networking lunch with all of our participants. Edison CTE staff worked to plan this year's Edison Expo. This is a night for our current families and future families and students to visit the Edison Campus and learn about everything Edison has to offer. Visitors were able to visit booths displaying hands-on activities for all 12 of our CTE programs. We also had booths set up for our Art, Music, Athletics, Clubs, Collegiate Partners, and business partners. This recruitment event was held in conjunction with our parent-teacher conference night, offering families a wide range of activities on the Edison campus. We would like to thank all who worked so hard to create an engaging and meaningful experience.

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of its instructor, Mr. Tom Talone, the Edison Tech Engineering and Optics program has received a grant. With this grant, Mr. Talone was able to address program needs by procuring essential equipment and furniture for his classroom. He also enlisted the help of some students during afterschool hours to paint the room, which has given the classroom a fresh new look.

As a result, the Engineering classroom is now equipped with state-of-the-art technology and equipment, enabling students to work on and create outstanding projects and labs.

Throughout this month, students from the Construction Program have been hard at work building and delivering raised garden beds to our middle school partners. These students are putting their skills and technology to use, showcasing their abilities and potential.

Through this project, students have gained invaluable experience in designing, ordering materials, and building a large-scale project. They have also worked collaboratively as a team to deliver and install the beds and soil at the schools. This marks the second year of the program, and we at Edison are thrilled to continue offering this outstanding learning opportunity to our students in the future.
