November 16th CTE Integration PD For Teachers & Staff

The CTE department worked to provide an engaging and informative professional developemnt oppurtunity for our campus. This oppurutunity centered around using CTE verbiage and scenarios in your assessment questions. We have found students to be more successful/engaged when describing and answering scenarios based on their CTE programs of study. Additionally students will begin to see the connection between core content classes and their CTE programs of study. Teachers and staff used the work time to create, modify, and adapt their assement questions to include CTE verbiage and scenarios. All of the particpants were provided with charts highlighting each CTE program, vocbaulary, tools, descripption, and contact information. This will be the first in a series of PD oppurutnities that involve the intergration of CTE into core content classes.
