It is the offical start of CTE month nation wide for all schools.  This is the  month that the CTE community celebrates everything CTE.   Across the country schools like Edison are displaying student achievements, work, and programs developed to further the education of students going in to trades or careers.  At Edison we will be sending out a weekly campus wide email to highlight some of the exciting oppurtuines we are providing our students with.  We at Edison are extremely proud of our CTE programs and all of the amizinglly talented teachers that work to provide the best CTE education possible.

February 6th 2023

Edison was proud to host MCC officials for a day of learning about our programs, courses, and student opportunities. They were able to tour all 12 of our CTE programs and meet teachers and staff. We shared all of the outstanding work our teachers and students have been doing. They were very impressed and taken aback by all that Edison had to offer. We continue to partner with MCC and the MCC FWD Center to offer exciting opportunities for our students. 

February 8th 2023

Edison was proud to host a tour for DOT Offical Gary Harvey on potential Work Based Learning oppuruntnities for our students.  He was able to visit all 12 programs and meet with teachers to learn about all of the great oppurtunites Edison has to offer.  He is currently a bussiness partner with Edison and has given our studnets the oppurtunity for part time and full time employment.

February 14th 2023

Edison students were able to take a field trip to Penske Trucking to learn about the oppurtunities in the field of diesel meachanics.  Students were able to tour the shop area, and see first hand the work that they could be doing if they choose a career as a Diesel Technican.  They were also able to explore other areas such as the collison shop, maintenance areas, and driver programs.

February 15th 2023

The Digital Media students and teachers worked together to host a live interview  of Rochester Works Representive Theodore Jordan.  Students were able to pre plan the interview, set lighting and sound, film, and edit the entire interview on their own.  The studenets displayed the higest degree of professionalism, and not only created an outstanding interview but also gained real world applicable skills in their CTE class.
