May 3: Asian Pacific American Heritage Month

Watch

May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, a time to celebrate people in the United States whose families came from countries in Asia and the Pacific Islands. In Asia and the Pacific Islands, there are a lot of different countries and cultures! Families from these countries all have many different traditions, including how they make food.

In these three stories, we see three different characters whose families came from different places, and each one has a special dish that they like to make and eat. As you will see, sometimes these dishes are tricky to make and require a lot of patience, but that is part of what makes them special!
