In the story, we saw that the sea otters live in the kelp forest and we learned how important it is that they live there. A place where an animal lives is called its habitat. Animals have many different kinds of habitats: some live in trees and some live in big fields, and some animals live in the city or deep in a forest. Think about an animal you've seen before. What was that animal's habitat? Where did it live? Why do you think it lives there? What does it eat? How does its habitat help the animal stay safe? Write and draw below about the animal you've seen and its habitat.
