President - Macy MacGloan
Vice President - Amirah Kazi
Treasurer - Eduardo Luna

Let’s get to know our elected council. Everyone was asked the following questions on how they are going to represent the school. The questions were :
1. What is your name and how do you spell it?
2. What grade are you in?
3. What position did you win?
4. What are your goals or plans for the school?
5. How do you plan on accomplishing your goals?
6. Why did you decide to run? This is their response:
Cameron Pendergrass - 11th Grade - Secretary
My goal is to make the school inclusive for everyone. To understand people and make it so that everyone who attends PSA is comfortable.
I’m Secretary, so most of the decisions regarding my goals won’t necessarily be going through me. I plan to accomplish my duties by making sure that I’m communicating with those above me in the student council.
I decided to run for fun.
Eduardo Luna - 11th Grade - Treasurer
I want to plan fundraisers to help pay for field trips and help the school. I’m good at saving money and finding good deals. I can help buy things that the school needs at a reasonable price.
I want to have open conversations with the student council and talk to students about what they want to buy.
I wanted to do something to help the school.
Amirah Kazi - 11th Grade - Vice President
I plan to bring back fun to the school and spirit week. I want to have more fun activities for leap day. I want more exciting choices for students to participate in.
Organizing and planning activities for the school.
I wanted to get involved with everything happening at PSA.
Macey Katherine MacGloan - 11th Grade - President
I have many goals and plans for the school year. I want to focus on building up the existing community within the school and helping members of the community outside of the school. We will have lots of fundraising events, and volunteering opportunities, inside and outside the school. This month, we are focusing on mental health. We will highlight the cause with posters and artwork. I also want the school to have time for team bonding events such as dances, drive-in movies, field trips, and more.
I plan to accomplish my goals by working with my team and its administrators to create more efficient and effective plans for success. I would be nothing without my 11th-grade team. Specifically, I would like to shout out Amirah who has helped me tremendously this month with organizing, running through proposals, and sparking ideas. Together we can make all this possible.
What made me want to run for office….
I decided to run for office out of excitement to be in a new school. As soon as I arrived at the school, I became surrounded by a community of kindness and love. It inspired me to give back. I noticed different flaws and things that could be improved in the school. I saw a need for leadership to accomplish those things. I knew that if I was a student, I would want a council leader who would listen to my ideas. This is the role I have chosen as President.
This is your 11th-grade student council.
