Meeting Mr. Ogletree

When I went to interview Mr. Ogletree I asked him when he joined the police force. He told me that he was 18 years old and officially started at 20 years old and then he started the police academy at 21. Before Mr. Ogletree came to Palmetto Scholars, he was teaching middle and high school at the police department, and he said that working there had encouraged him to get a teaching degree. Some hobbies that Mr. Ogletree said that he used to do a lot of hiking, working out, and outdoors activities. But now he really just spends time with his daughter. Something that Mr. Ogletree wanted to say to the students of Palmetto Scholars Academy is, “Do good in school, in case you need a backup plan.”
