On February 13th SuperBowl LVI took place in SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles. Between the two teams, the explosive super team Los Angeles Rams was a heavy favorite to win the game even though the seemingly rag-tag Cinderella story Cincinnati Bengals was by far the fan favorite with players like Joe Burrow, Jemar Chase, and Tee Higgins. This game was close to the very end with a combined 43 points between the teams. However despite how close it was in every quarter except for a few moments, the Bengals were in solid control of the game, but the few moments they didn’t cover ended up losing them the game. In particular The Offensive Line for the Bengals and Eli Toasted were the main problems for them. Joe Burrow needs time in the pocket to be able to do the job that earned him Comeback Player of the Year and the Offensive line just did not provide that against a disgustingly stacked Rams Front 4. There was a multitude of instances where if Joe Burrow just had a little more time the outcome of the game would be a lot different, most notably on a crucial 4th and 1 if Burrow’s offensive line held Aaron Donald for a few more seconds he would’ve seen Static Duo to Burrow, Jamar Chase was wide open after having a fantastic release on the line against Jalen Ramsey that might have won the game.
Player Spotlight
Who else would I pick for the player spotlight other than the MVP of SuperBowl, well Aaron Donald. He had two sacks and constantly made Joe Burrow have to make constant quick decisions, he put so much pressure on Burrow it set the rest of the team up for success and covered the team in spots where they couldn’t get. With a final score of 23-20, the Los Angeles Rams redeemed themselves after a loss in Super Bowl 53 to take the Lombardi Trophy back to LA.
