Google snake is one of the most popular games in schools today. Google Snake is a modern adaptation of the old arcade game “Snake” made in 1997, And has been the ultimate school time waster since its creation. The Goal of the game is to collect apples while trying to maneuver around your own character. The game was released in 2017 and has been regularly updated to have 12 different game modes! These modes include Classic, infinite, portal and more! When combined with the other customizable options like the speed or number of apples, there are 41,580 different ways to play! My personal favorite mode to play is Wall mode with 5 apples with a large board. While blender mode offers a unique and fast paced experience the challenges the player. This mode is fun and challenging due to the ever changing board. Some of the game modes could even be considered impossible to beat! Like Google, portal mode with 5 apples, small board and fast speed! My high score for this game mode is 13. Can you beat my highscore?

Continued popularity is not only attributed to its addictive nature and seemingly infinite possibilities, but it has outlived classic school time-wasters like cool math games who have sadly been blocked by schools around the world. So next time you are bored in class (with teacher permission of course!) try out one of the game modes and try to get a highscore!
