Feeding Guidelines

Feeding your cat is something that is entirely unique to you and your cat’s lifestyle, but here is an example of our recommended guidelines for cats    over 4 pounds.

PrettyPlease stays fresh for 15 months after the manufacturing date which is listed on the back of the bag in the lower right hand corner.

Dog eats Food

If your dog consumes PrettyPlease, there is no need to worry. PrettyPlease is an ultra-premium cat food made of the highest quality ingredients. Cat food is more calorie dense than dog food, but it shouldn’t cause any issue if your dog eats it every so often.  

Grain Free

Yes! PrettyPlease is formulated without grains or other fillers and is made with only the best ingredients to keep your furry friend happy and healthy

Testing

We formulated PrettyPlease with a group of pet nutrition experts and a feline nutritionist. The formula has been well tested for over two years. For palatability tests, we sent PrettyPlease to thousands of pet parents across the United States who served PrettyPlease to their cats for several months and confirmed its yumminess with overwhelmingly enthusiastic feedback.   

Transition Steps - PrettyPlease Acclimation 

Most cats love PrettyPlease and take to it right away, but if your cat is a picky eater we have some tips for the transition! Start feeding your cat a mixture of food containing 75% of their original food and 25% PrettyPlease. Over time, increase the amount of PrettyPlease and decrease the amount of original food. A change in diet can sometimes cause a reaction (change in bowel movements, spitting up), especially if your cat has never had a change in food. If your cat experiences this type of reaction, we recommend a slower transition, and to reach out to your veterinarian for any specific concerns with ingredients.

Dry food version

PrettyPlease is a premium dry food formulated with nutrient-rich ingredients like real chicken and flaxseed to promote optimal bone and muscle development. Our dry food formula is a balanced and healthy premium diet that contains 24 essential vitamins and minerals to support sustained energy levels, healthy digestive system, healthy immune system and normal weight.  

Animal Testing

PrettyPlease was not tested on animals. After it was approved by AAFCO and our feline nutritionists, we sent out complimentary bags to kitties across the country who ate PrettyPlease for several months and confirmed its yumminess with overwhelmingly enthusiastic feedback.

Cat Should eat Meat/Should not eat vegetables

Although cats are meat-eaters, when they hunt and eat their natural prey, they eat the vegetable matter in the prey’s gut. Cats are built to tolerate a certain amount of roughage in their diets. If your cat is overweight, adding some veggies to their diet can help keep her weight down. Feeding your cat vegetables can also boost their immune system and can lessen the effects of aging. That said, muscle meat should be the first ingredient which is exactly what PrettyPlease is. We lead with chicken.

Chicken meal

PrettyPlease uses pure meat meal as opposed to meat and bone meal or meat by-product meal. This essentially means that after the meat is ground up into smaller, more workable granules, the water and fat are removed so we can achieve more concentrated, nutritious protein to fit the naturally high protein needs of an ideal cat diet!  

Why do you use chicken meal, turkey meal, and fish meal? Why not use chicken, turkey, and real fish meat?

Chicken meal and chicken meat are the same, but in different forms. Chicken meal is used to allow dry food such as PrettyPlease to stay fresh, and longer shelf life.

Chicken Meal - Second Language 

Actually, pound for pound, chicken meals provide more nutrients than chicken. The definition for chicken, according to the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO),  With chicken the water content averages around 70%, along with 18% protein and 5% fat. Now take this ground chicken and carefully dry it to a moisture level of 10%. The protein content is now 65% and the fat level is 12%. This product is a chicken meal. The same quantity of chicken meal provides roughly 4-5 times the nutrients as the same weight of chicken because of the differences in moisture. Both are providing the same profile of amino acids, the protein building blocks. 

Can Bengal Cats Eat PrettyPlease

We understand that Bengal cats have a unique nutritional need. PrettyPlease was formulated for a strong and healthy diet. Bengals need to avoid grains, and PrettyPlease is without grains. Cats should also avoid avocados, chocolate, potatoes, fresh eggs, and yeast dough. These ingredients are not included in PrettyPlease. PrettyPlease will be able to fulfill your Bengal cat's needs!

Are the probiotics alive? 

Yes, PrettyPlease contains a source of live (viable) naturally occurring microorganisms.

What is the Ca/Phos/Mg ratio? Is there a senior formula? Is it high protein or low protein?

PrettyPlease guarantees a minimum content of 1.5% calcium and 1.2% phosphorus. We also make sure that our furry friends get plenty of Mg in the form of Manganese proteinate and Manganous oxide incorporated into the food. This is an all life stages formula, so it is certainly suited for senior cats! How is it for a hairball? I have a fluffy kitty and it's an issue…

While PrettyPlease is not specifically a hairball formula, it does provide fiber from natural sources (minimum of 4.0%) and digestive support from pre and probiotics. Additionally, PrettyPlease contains omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, biotin, flax, and kelp to help support a strong, healthy coat to minimize shedding.

What is the ash and magnesium content of your cat food?

Magnesium is a part of ash content which 8.2 %

My cat was born a stinky cat. Not only Poop but breath too. Will it help my cat's breath? 

When your furry friend munches PrettyPlease, the kibble removes plaque which can reduce bad breath.

Is PrettyPlease Hypo-allergenic? 

We don't market it as hypoallergenic, but we keep the full ingredient list up on our website and you can always run the ingredients by her vet to see if it’s a good match for what she needs.

Do you use premix in your kibble?

“If you do, where do you get it from?” Yes, we do use a vitamin and mineral premix. We source these vitamins from the most qualified regions all over the world that carry the highest quality ingredients. This includes places like France, Germany, Switzerland, and the U.S.

What is the Carbohydrates content in PrettyPlease?

PrettyPlease Ultra Premium Cat Food is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Cat Food Nutrient Profiles for All Life Stages. That said, PrettyPlease was not designed specifically for our feline friends with special needs. 

PrettyPlease contains Crude Fiber as part of the nutritional contents which is technically a type of carbohydrate. We do not have the exact percentage of carbohydrates in PrettyPlease.

While our food formulas are premium, tip to tail nutrition specifically for the health and vitality of cats, we understand that every kitty (like people) may be different. So, it is best that your cat's needs are evaluated by a licensed, trusted vet or nutritionist in case of sensitivities or restrictions.
