This is assessed through the production of internally assessed units including an Added Value Unit. This does not have any time limit and consists of an individual project, where the topic is chosen by the pupil.
Course Details
Pupils will develop skills in knowledge and understanding of contemporary political and social issues in local, Scottish, United Kingdom and international contexts. Candidates develop the skills to interpret and participate in the social and political processes they will encounter in their lives.
Particular focus is given to the skills of describing and explaining as candidates demonstrate their knowledge and understanding. In handling information, candidates are expected to demonstrate abilities in drawing conclusions, objectivity and using evidence to support decisions
