Course Assessment:
The course will be assessed through a question paper (exam) and an assignment, which will be marked by SQA and graded A to D.
• The question paper is worth 80 marks and makes up 80% of the total assessment mark. Learners present detailed and reasoned views in response to a series of religious, moral and philosophical questions.
• The assignment is worth 20 marks and makes up 20% of the total assessment mark. Learners must research a religious, moral or philosophical issue and write a report on it. Their report must provide different points of view before reaching a reasoned conclusion.
Course Details
Pupils develop a range of skills at a straightforward level, including the ability to:
give accurate accounts of factual information relating to aspects of religion, morality and philosophy
demonstrate an understanding of aspects of religion, morality and philosophy.
