The final grade is based on an exam and a project. Both components are externally marked by the SQA and graded A-D.
Project (25%) – 30 marks
Exam (75%) – 100 marks (3 hours)
Section 1 (multiple choice) - 20 marks
Section 2– 80 marks
Course Details:
This course aims to encourage pupils to become scientifically literate citizens, who are able to make rational decisions based on scientific evidence and information. It gives them further experience in independent investigative work. It also allows pupils to extend and apply knowledge, understanding and skills of biology.
