Choosing your next college course

If you are staying on at college after your first course, then these are the steps to follow when choosing your next one:

1. Browse through the list of courses on Petroc's website, click on the "Course Search" tab to see the list of courses available.

2. If you are considering a course at level 1 to 3, then click on the "School Leavers" options as this will then display all the A-level subjects and all the vocational subjects.

3. Think about what you enjoy doing and also what you are good at, is there a course that links to these?

4. don't forget to consider the type of job you want to do when you leave college, can you find a course that will help you get this job?

5. When looking at courses check out if your grades meet the course requirements.

6. Have you talked to your teachers/tutor to get their opinion?

7. Take a look at Career Pilot for lots of information explaining college courses.
