CVs

Whatever you do next it is important to keep your CV up to date, and now is a good opportunity to do this. Make sure it now includes:

  • Your most recent employer and job activities.

  • Update your Skills Section (you will have learnt new skills since you started the apprenticeship).

  • Also make sure you include what you have learnt during your apprenticeship training and any new qualifications you have achieved.

  • Finally make sure you have asked you employer if they will provide you with a reference.

Applications

Now you have had some work experience, don't forget to mention this in any future job application you make. E.G mention

  • new skills you have learnt

  • new job tasks/activities you have learnt

  • training courses you have completed

  • how much of your apprenticeship learning have you completed

Interviews are challenging regardless of how much experience you have had. But you should be able to feel more confident now you have had some work experience.
